Become a Portland Lumberjack in a few simple steps

Step 1: Complete our intake form by clicking on Become a Lumberjack and our recruitment director or someone from our team will reach out to you!

Step 2:
Email info@lumberjacksrugby.com and provide us with your name and contact information.

You’ll receive our registration packets which includes the player code of conduct, bylaws, waivers, instructions on how to register with USA Rugby, our Discord community guidelines and invitation.

Step 3: Join our Discord server.
This is our main communication channel with our members.

Step 4: Come to practice geared up and ready to go!
The gear list could be a costly investment - message the team on our Discord server, to see if anyone has gear they want to depart with (hint: there’s lots of opportunities for gear swaps!)

Step 5: Pay your dues!
Dues: $100 per season. Rookies pays $60.

Players who need assistance may email info@lumberjacksrugby.com for a scholarship.

Step 6: Register with USA Rugby
You’ll often hear us asking if you’re CIPP’d yet. This is the Club and Individual Participation Program (CIPP) through USA Rugby. Supplemental insurance is provided, and registration is mandatory to play in any sanctioned game. The cost is approximately $83 and is not included in your dues. You may wait to register if you’re not ready the play.

Social Members

We recognize that not everybody can join us on the pitch. Our club has great social members who cheer the players on from the sidelines and join us at post-match social events who are valuable members of the club. By being a social member, you are entitled to vote in annual elections to impact the direction of the club, gain access to the members-only Facebook/Discord group, be invited to members-only social functions, join us for practices, and more!

Social Dues: $60 per season.
